In connection with the suspension of the national weightlifting federation for one year, the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) held a Briefing on Anti-Doping issues in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The event took place on the 13th of November 2017 and the Deputy General Director of the National Anti-Doping Agency - Mihail Grumeza attended it together with the Secretary of the Weightlifting Federation of Moldova - Maxim Cojocaru. The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the Monitoring Program of the suspended federations and to highlight the Action Plan that should be undertaken throughout the period of suspension in order to return to sport. The position of the Agency was to ensure, by mutual agreement, the necessary measures to recover the created situation in the related field.
